Interface launch new QOF Refresh Service

Increased demand from primary care practices for their QOF Enhancement Service has prompted Interface Clinical Services to launch a new Refresh Service which provides practices with an ongoing benchmark system and additional pharmacist time.

The current service provides a consultancy day of on-site support from a trained Interface pharmacist, who identifies areas where the practice could be providing improved patient care, as well as maximising their QOF outcomes. The new Refresh Service includes an additional pharmacist consultancy day, as well as a report benchmarking the practice’s performance against the previous year and identifying areas for improved patient care.

The information from this report will be broken down by clinical domain, so practices can highlight how effective their current work streams are and what domains, if any, they need to focus on and where appropriate receive Interface pharmacist support. The Annual Refresh Service is available to practices who had purchased the QOF Enhancement Service in the previous year.

Mike Drakard, Managing Director of Interface Clinical Services commented, “We have launched this new service because we had so much demand from GP practices for us to come back. In the previous year alone we have provided QOF Services to over 1,250 practices in the UK.”

Interface was founded in 2004 and has grown to become a leader in its field. It works closely with the NHS, where Interface pharmacists help GPs, practice managers, administrators, and commissioners manage long term conditions, improve patient care and maximise QOF outcomes. To date Interface has worked in 3,470 primary care practices throughout the UK, helping to improve prescribing practices for millions of people. Interface has recently expanded into a new headquarters, and is planning to increase its pharmacist workforce to over 100 fully-trained pharmacists by the end of the year.
