Interface Stroke Risk Study

Interface Clinical Services’ recent stroke risk study in partnership with NHS Central Manchester CCG has been featured in the latest issue of The Primary Care Cardiovascular Journal (PCCJ).

The study aims to quantify the increasing number of patients requiring anticoagulation when using the CHA2DS2VASC assessment tool as opposed to the CHADS2 score.

Interface carried out initial AF reviews and benchmark assessments to ascertain the patients risk scores. The study found that a further 35% of patients were identified for treatment using CHA2DS2VASC compared to those identified using the CHADS2 assessment tool.
